We visited Laguiole, France where the knives are made and Mrs. S brought back a set of their steak knives. No, they are not switch blades (flip) knives. They don't fold up. They do garner a lot of comments though.

Smoked ham hock, beans and fresh baked corn bread. This is about as down-home Ozarks eatin' as you can get. Cheap way to feed a family. I grew up eating beans and corn bread.

Independence Day! Traditionally it's BBQ time in the States and that would include chicken, pork ribs, beef brisket, hamburgers, sausages and hot dogs. I suspect there are some who barbecue meat alternatives but I wouldn't know about that.
This evening it's chili cheese dogs with homemade coleslaw and onion rings. It had to be chili dogs 'cuz pomps' pix got me in the chili dog mood. Happy July 4th to all of you Americans out there!

I’ve passed on dinner tonight while Mrs N is on her third meal.
