He's busy? I thought he left Blighty to retire.

Not seen him for ages.

Busy running errands. His wife doesn't drive (a car) and she has a small grocery shop. School has started again so he is the daily student chauffeur. He tends his small garden and the fish ponds. Pretty much family oriented busy.

Massaman. Great idea! Not had massaman for a while. Need to suggest that to the wife.

Wife made penang bpet duck curry:
Now we're talkin'! Panang pbet sounds good. Mrs. S is definitely going to have to make a batch of panang soon. Your basil has done well, looks to be bai maeng lak (lemon basil). The missus uses it fresh with khanom jeen and cooks into gaeng om, gaeng nor mai etc.

Damn, I'm getting hungry for panang.

Black-pepper liver with garlic and onions, asparagus, and a side of Parmesan cheese bread.

Love liver & onions, especially with some crispy fried bacon tossed in. Wish I could find calf's liver here. That and lamb's liver are the best in my estimation. Pork liver is okay but I typically just have chicken livers instead. The missus doesn't care for liver so I just fix it for myself.

That black pepper liver & onions with asparagus looks quite tasty. ++)(*
