Re: What are you Having for Dinner Tonight?
Had to look up Marie Rose sauce. Similar to what we call "fry sauce" in the States and also a bit like Thousand Island sauce. The standard (classic) seafood cocktail sauce in the States is a bit spicier with ketchup, horseradish, lemon juice, tabasco and Worcestershire sauce (no mayo). In Venezuela and Brazil they serve shrimp/prawns with a type of Marie Rose sauce called salsa rosa, it is mostly ketchup and mayonnaise and quite tasty.
Had baked ham and provolone cheese sandwiches just now and that will probably suffice for dinner this evening.

Grilled ham, potatoes au gratin and purple sweet corn. Jingjai farmer's market near Tops at Central Plaza has the purple sweet corn right now.

แกงเขียวหวานไก่
Green curry chicken made with garden fresh eggplant, lemongrass, kaffir lime leaves ... always tastes better when you've grown it yourself.

Gaeng khiao waan gai is a favorite. Need the missus to make a batch soon. Love those little eggplants.

This evening Mrs. S made gaeng khiao waan gai (green chicken curry) and some giaao muu thawt (fried pork wontons). Really hit the spot!

Going out for a Thai soon. Farewell UK restaurant dinner for the g/f. She's a saint so, deserves the best. Might let her have a starter
