Re: What are you Having for Dinner Tonight?
Mrs. Shado bought the ones we had this evening, packaged by Surapon Foods (สุรพลฟู้ดส์). I think she got them at Makro. She makes fish cakes if she can find some nice bpla klai (featherback fish) but I don't recall her ever using shrimp to make the cakes. The ones we had for dinner were quite good and I asked her to get some more. The fish cakes are pretty straight forward to make but take a little time as all of the bones must be removed.
I made a horseradish cocktail sauce this evening but I usually eat them with the plum sauce (sweet & sour) like is served with popia thot (ปอเปี๊ยะทอด) = fried spring rolls. The Missus is gone right now but when she returns I confirm where she bought them. If it's different from Makro I'll let you know.

Kuaitiao ruea, good stuff. We sometimes get that for lunch if out and about. One of those Thai dishes that you really can't replicate at home.

Grilled cayenne & sage sausage, Welsh rabbit and bread & butter pickles. Great combo!
