I'm getting a bit hungry for custard myself. Maybe tomorrow I'll make a batch of rice pudding. Need to check the fridge to make sure I have enough eggs.
To be honest, yours definitely look better Shado but they were nice enough. The custard was great.

Udon is better served (with VM C2MU etc) for ingredients to prepare falang food so, I dont cook Mexican over here. My bags were full last time having been out of Thailand during Covid but, next month there will be more room for the odd item.

When I first arrived in Udon some 15 years ago it was very difficult to find farang food fixin's. Tops carried some items but nothing like they do now. Villa Market was a real step up when they finally arrived and even Makro now has a pretty good selection of western products. C2MU is worth a stop every now and then, especially for cheese and meat products. Really can't complain about availability anymore. Sometimes the shelves will be empty but when the boat comes in they get restocked.

Fortunately, my wife is an outstanding cook and we frequently have Thai food. It's fortunate as well that she likes much of the farang food that I cook. We eat out only occasionally and never, I mean never cook anything while both of us are in the kitchen. That simply does not work! Either she is rattling the pots & pans or I am. No joint efforts, ever!

Same as me and my ball & chain. When she's in the kitchen I stay away and when she is not we eat out 8-)

Tried a new kebab shop that’s opened towards the back of Preecha Market food court. Not bad, will definitely have again sometime, just won’t go out of my way.

What is it with all these kebab shops wanting to put cheese on? I’ve never come across cheese on a kebab until I got here. They had an “original” without cheese on the menu but they asked if I was sure I didn’t want cheese & looked at me like I head two heads when I ordered it.

Beef stew and saltines. Actually, before I finished I spread about half the saltines with pimento cheese. Nice combo.

Leftovers. These are the kind of leftovers that re-head beautifully. Great sandwiches as well.
