This evening Mrs. S decided to make
popia thot (ปอเปี๊ยะทอด) and
khao phat goong gap muu (ข้าวผัดกุ้งกับหมู). Crispy fried pork spring rolls and shrimp fried rice with pork. I filled my plate twice and now can barely walk. Really delicious.

Nice one Shado, ปอเปี๊ยะทอด here is a a communal thing. Nobody ever makes it by themselves. The call goes out and 5 or 10 show up to make it together. It's kinda nice to watch. Informal community cooperation. Reminds me of Amish communities. They are people who normally get together to gossip once or twice a month anyway. It's nice that that can produce something delicious along the way.
... paradise
*edit* OK, maybe 4 or 5.

This evening I chicken tikka masala, rice and roti and Mrs. S had flowers from an ornamental tree in yard. The flowers are called
dok khae (Sesbania grandiflora) and there are white and red varieties. There are many ways to cook the flowers including tempura but she wanted to steam them with some cabbage and carrots to eat with her nam phrik bpla tuu and rice.

I've never eaten Ika yaki but I think I would like it. Fresh, properly grilled squid is always good. Japanese folks do like their mayo.
