Is that all?

I had Udon noodles again tonight but I have a question.

Ba Som, aside from the fish, what goes into it and how is it prepared?

And what does Som mean?

There is a moo som that is actually "orange pork" but there may also be fermented pork as well, I suspect there is but I'm not sure. Of course there is the fermented Isaan pork sausage naaem moo (แหนมหมู).

Mrs. S loves pla som, she brings it home often. She always fries it and I like it that way.

Pork chop, mashed potatoes, steamed carrots, spinach. Delicioso.

Also, my wife brought home these little babies.

They taste like perfect brownies, but they look like choco-balls.

They are fantastic.
