The washer up ought to be taken to task. There’s some scraps from the previous diner on that plate

Man, it was incredible. By far the best foodie experience that I've had in Thailand.
Cost me nearly THB 3000 but, it was worth every penny - a similar meal in the UK would have been a few hundred pounds.
If anyone is down Phuket way, I can recommend it thoroughly. Looking at the FB site, they had the Thai Taekwondo olympic team there recently including Gold medallist "Tennis" ..... wish I'd been there that night!

Not really hungry after the platter of sushi so just a mug of Cadbury hot chocolate & a couple of egg tarts.

Scratchin' that Indian curry itch. Chicken Madras, rice and chapatis (roti). I'll probably be okay for a while or at least until pomps posts another of his Indian platter photos.

The Madras heat is fine for me. Vindaloo starts to get a bit spicy though. It's sort of strange, Indian, Thai and Mexican all have various levels of heat (spice) in their dishes but the heat is different in each ethnic cuisine. Mrs. Shado can eat Thai food that is way too spicy for me whereas I can eat and enjoy Mexican dishes that she thinks are too spicy. Different kinds of chilis I guess. She did begin to enjoy Tex-Mex back in the States and would actually suggest we eat at Mexican restaurants. It was chili rellenos and habanero chilis that changed her attitude about Mexican fare. We began buying fresh habanero chilis at the local market and she really likes them. Have never seen them in Thailand. I brought some seed back and tried to grow them here but that was a fruitless endeavor.
Mrs. S isn't keen on Indian food but enjoys in more now than when we first got married. Initially, she didn't even want to try it because it was "men mak" but I started her out on samosas, chicken tikka masala, naan and bhajis. Now she will order off the menu at an Indian restaurant. She doesn't care to join me when I eat Indian chow at home though.

I had a lasagne, roast potatoes, a side salad & a couple of slices of garlic bread from the lady on UD Town food street last night. It was very good

ข้าวซอยหมู (khao soi moo), Chiang Mai curry/soup noodles with pork. Mrs. S does a "bang-up job" with khao soi.
